Major honours
The boxing arm of Matchroom Sport, founded by Barry Hearn in 1982, and the promotion that changed the shape of British boxing when his son Eddie Hearn took it over in 2010. Built on a deal with Sky Sports, it made huge outdoor shows the norm, and the 2017 unification fight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley drew 90,000 fans, the biggest postwar box office in British boxing. In 2018 Matchroom partnered with the streaming platform DAZN to enter the US market, and that same year its eleven-fight, $365 million deal with Canelo Alvarez was reported as the largest in sports history at the time. Matchroom also invested early in women's boxing, building Katie Taylor from amateur gold medalist into a Madison Square Garden main-event headliner.

Rivalry
Within Britain, Matchroom collides head-on with Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions. With Matchroom on DAZN and Queensberry split between Sky and BT, the delayed Joshua-Tyson Fury matchup for years is the emblematic result of that rivalry.
